Summer Photo Show 2012
The Lunch Box Gallery is pleased to announce for the second year, the call for submissions for its SUMMER PHOTO SHOW 2012. Due to the success of last year’s show, we are opening the call for entries for this summer, where we will also award one artist with the title “Best in Show”, and we will also give two honoring mentions. The exhibit will be displayed from August 11th to October 6th of 2012.
The competition is open to all artists, both professionals and amateurs, emerging and established, national and international over 18 years of age, working in all mediums of photography including color, black and white and any mixed-media art that utilizes photography as one of its forms of expression. All photographic mediums, methods, types and schools are welcome.

Lending Spotlight – Poverty Relief Through a Lens
Lending Spotlight – Poverty Relief Through a Lens is an international photo exhibition created and organized by China Internet Information Center and China Development Gateway. As one of a series of activities themed “Joining Hands Against Poverty”, the exhibition focuses on international poverty relief and global development.
The contest aims to:
1) Share China’s experience in poverty reduction with other countries.
2) Focus on the livelihoods of people trapped in poverty and seek global support to combat poverty.

2012 National Recreation Trails photo contest
American Trails sponsors an annual contest for photographs of National Recreation Trails across the country. Our annual contest provides awards in several categories and shows off entries (and previous winners) on the NRT website. The goal is to highlight the diversity of the NRTs and to make more Americans familiar with these great trails. We’re looking for good photos of trail users as well as special facilities, art on the trails, management issues, construction, and volunteers. ELIGIBILITY: Worldwide / Amateur
COPYRIGHT: The Organiser acknowledges that You retain full ownership of the copyright in each Entry.
USAGE RIGHTS: Entrants agree that any Entry submitted to the competition may be used by the Organiser, and its Event Partners (Better Digital Camera magazine, Better Photoshop Techniques magazine, Nik Software, Phase One), for marketing and promotional purposes of the event only. You hereby grant Pt78 Pty Ltd and the Event Partners a non-exclusive, irrevocable license in each Entry throughout the world in perpetuity in all media for any use directly connected with the Competition, including, but not limited to:
judging the Competition;
displaying the winning entries (including Gold, Silver and Bronze awards or some thereof) at public exhibitions promoting the Better Photography Magazine Photograph of the Year;
inclusion within the Organiser's and Event partners' websites and magazines, an awards book, magazine or similar;
inclusion within any material promoting the competition and/or any exhibition organised by Organiser or its event partners, in the promotion of The Better Photography Awards;
inclusion in competition and exhibition related products to be sold by the Organiser or any third party following the individual agreement by the Entrant;
sub-licensing the Entries to the press for reproduction in connection with the Competition and any exhibition;
allowing viewers of the Better Photography website to view images on a computer screen, PDA or mobile telephone and store such pages in electronic form on disk or on a PDA or mobile telephone (but not on any server or other storage device connected to a network) for their personal, non-commercial use only;
being chosen and entered into promotional competitions by Organiser or its Event Partners for marketing and promotional purposes.
Any photograph used by the Organiser shall carry a credit line. Any failure to provide such a credit line shall not be deemed to be a breach, as long as the Organiser uses its reasonable endeavors to rectify such failure within a reasonable period from the date of notice of such failure.
Mississippi’s Lower Delta Outdoor Photography Contest
Youth ages 10 – 18 and adults are invited to submit photographs related to Mississippi’s Lower Delta for entry no later than September 1, 2012 to Mississippi’s Lower Delta Partnership, Post Office Box 214 or 401 Walnut Street, Rolling Fork, MS 39159. Overall winners will be notified prior to the Great Delta Bear Affair October 27, 2012 in Rolling Fork, MS.
