2012 National Recreation Trails photo contest

American Trails sponsors an annual contest for photographs of National Recreation Trails across the country. Our annual contest provides awards in several categories and shows off entries (and previous winners) on the NRT website. The goal is to highlight the diversity of the NRTs and to make more Americans familiar with these great trails. We’re looking for good photos of trail users as well as special facilities, art on the trails, management issues, construction, and volunteers. We also want to see entries that cover the many types and uses of National Recreation Trails throughout America.

AWARD CATEGORIES: We will give awards in the following categories, which are grouped under the three general areas of Trail Use, Trail Management, and Trail Features.

The National Countryside Photography Competition

PRIZE DETAILS: The 6 category winners of The National Countryside Photography Competition 2012 will each receive £500 payable by cheque in September 2012.

There will be 6 runner up prizes in the form of a Musto outdoor jacket.

ELIGIBILITY: UK / 18+

COPYRIGHT: You will retain copyright and if we wish to use your photograph for any other purpose Archant will ask your permission and obtain your consent before doing so. Any commercial opportunities that arise following the publication of the submitted photograph will be notified to You, and You will be free to negotiate terms independently

USAGE RIGHTS: By entering the competition, participants grant Archant Ltd, its subsidiary companies, and its Competition Partners an irrevocable, non-exclusive, worldwide royalty-free license to reproduce, publicly display, distribute, publicly perform and create derivative works from their Submitted Materials, in all media, solely in connection with the administration, judging and promotion of The National Countryside Photography Competition 2012.

Submitted Materials will NOT be used for commercial advertising purposes and will NOT be altered without the prior consent of the author, except as necessary to display or distribute them in a particular medium or format. Permissible uses of Submitted Materials shall include their reproduction, distribution and display in exhibitions, multimedia presentations, and printed materials related to or promoting of The National Countryside Photography Competition Winner 2012 and/or its sponsorship by Great British Life and their Competition Partners.
